- I think there was a discussion of this in os2.programming a while ago.
- Something about disabling interrupts and then waiting for the the system
- to die.

- Virtually any operating system (or DOS/Windoze) can be crashed; the
- difference is how easily. I remember writing a memo to management on a
- project a few years ago when they wanted to go from OS/2 to DOS for a
- large transaction processor. I told them that a program-caused crash
- under DOS would be "very hard to prevent", but under OS/2 or unix would be
- "very hard to cause". They stuck with DOS, the crash rate exploded, and I
- quit two weeks later.

- millions of dollars in the hole.
