- I have installed the OS/2 2.1 beta on my system. As it was 29 floppies, and i
- already had MMPM/2, I didn't bother getting the Multi-media disks from IBM.
-
- When I install MMPM/2 (with no devices), then install the SoundBlaster device
- (from floppy) using MINSTALL.EXE, everything goes normally. It asks me which
- driver i want (I have a bog-standard soundblaster 2.0), i chose it, and
- shutdown and re-start as instructed.
-
- Just after the OS/2 logo, my system TRAP 0000d's in the AUDIO1$ module. I have
- to boot from a floppy, run a chkdsk and restore the old config.sys in order to
- bring up my system.
-
- It isn't an IRQ conflict as the SB works just fine in DOS sessions. It is
- definitely the software.
-
- I have the SBMMPM/2 file that came out originally.....is there a later version
- I can try?
-
- I'm not desparate - yet - but I did like playing soundfiles for my daughter
- while I modem myself into oblivion.......:-)
