  14. IBM is still making mainframes which no one really needs anymore.  I think
  15. that any R&D cut will come in the older technology.

  17. We may see an *increase* in R&D for OS/2 and th RISC platforms.  I see IBM
  18. putting lots more effort into workstations and less and less into big iron.
