- I am in the process of setting up COM3 and COM4 to work on my OS/2 system.
-
- My hardware recognizes and reports these on the hardware summary displayed
- during power up (AMI 5/5/91 BIOS, 386-33). OS/2 does not.
-
- Here is the configuration :
-
-
- COM1 IRQ4 *
- COM2 IRQ3 *
- COM3 IRQ5
- COM4 IRQ2
- LPT1 IRQ7
-
- * I may have these reversed, these are set to whatever is default.
-
- I want OS/2 to recognize all four com ports and to have the mouse run off
- com port 3 (IRQ5). Can someone help me do this?
-
- These will be running on a BOCA IO 2 by 4 multi IO card. I have great results
- with the serial section. The parallel portion has a known bug with OS/2 which
- should be fixed with chips date coded 9228 or later (bugs in 9227 and earlier),
- when I've gotten my new card (next week), I'll update over the net my findings.
-
- Also. Would it be possible to have 2 printers on the same IRQ? LPT1 and LPT2
- on IRQ7?
-
- I had thought not, but the documentation of the IO card say it is possible,
- though if system resources allow do not do it.
-
- Greg
