- I was thrilled to find that the new CDROM drivers (in os2cdrom.zip)
- support Sony drives. I was unthrilled when I found that they support
- only the SCSI drives (the Sony CDU 7211), and that my drive (a CDU 7205)
- used a proprietary (non-SCSI) interface. BTW, Sony sez that they should
- have drivers for OS/2 for my drive in about March or April of this year.
-
- But, I understand that there are "generic" drivers available for CD ROMs.
- Two questions:
- 1) Where are they? (I searched Hobbes for "generic" - didn't find)
- 2) Are they enuf to do the OS/2 install from CD?
- (specifically, we are talking about installing the 2.1 beta
- from the Nov PDK CD...)
