- Thanks to everyone for the help. My original emacs was
- unpacked on a Sun and transfered in pieces to my PC.
- Apparently I lost some .el files, notably em-key.el!

- When I downloaded a new copy from hobbes, I renamed my old
- emacs folder in WKS. I tried everyone's suggestions but they
- didn't work. I finally looked at the settings notebook for
- my test file (I have /had WKS set gnuemacs as the default
- tool for any text file), and found that WKS had changed the
- pointer to emacs to the old emacs when I renamed it. I guess
- that's a good feature if you know it's being done.
