  14. It is good to read that Designer 3.1 for OS/2 is finally shipping.
  15. Micrografx makes some nice programs, but they are among the worst when
  16. it comes to spreading desinformation about availability. I was told by
  17. some Mx prepresentatives in the first half of november that Designer
  18. 3.1 was shipping, but then it turned out that they had been
  19. misinformed by Mx.
  20.  
  21. Back in 1988 or 1989, I bought Designer 2.x for Windows (or maybe it
  22. was 1.x). Inside the box was a note saying that they also had an OS/2
  23. version available, and that one should send in the form to get it. I
  24. sent in the form, but did not hear anything from Mx. And it turned out
  25. that this program did not exist. (A year later, they did put aout an
  26. OS/2 version, whcich was a very bad port of 2.x Windows version - it
  27. was almost like an early beta version sold for full price.)

  29. If you take a look at Micrografx 1990 catalog, you will find that they
  30. mentions OS/2 versions of 3 of their programs as if they are available
  31. (Graph Plus, the forerunner of Charisma, Draw Plus - forerunner of
  32. Windows Draw and PM Draw, and Designer). But these OS/2 versions have
  33. never existed.
