- No. The video card is doing all the work for Windows. For faster
- screen updates, you will need to go with a faster video card (or a
- faster processor with the usual dumb frame buffer video). I'm using a
- Diamond Speedstar HiColor (dumb frame buffer) with an i486-DX50 and
- seem to get acceptable video speeds. If you have a slow machine (with
- slow being defined as 'it takes too long'), you will have to change to
- a coprocessed video board (S3, Mach8, TIGA, and their ilk) to see any
- increases in video speed.
