- Has anyone tried America Online for Windows? Any comments?
-
- Also, are there any other online services that offer Windows interfaces?
- I've read the Prodigy uses some fairly intelligent caching techniques
- to greatly improve its apparent speed, and I'm aware of CompuServe
- interfaces that let you read mail and news offline. What I am looking
- for is an online service that is fairly large and has features like
- those I've mentioned (as opposed to a BBS-type setup where time and
- money is wasted). A Windows interface is a must.
-
- America Online says that it allows access to internet mail and
- "other services." News, perhaps? Does any online service allow
- you to read internet news?
-
- Is the CompuServe Windows interface out? Has anyone tried that?
-
- Please email me or post. I will summarize email in a followup
- post.
