  11.    I am looking at buying a 14.4 modem, and have narrowed it down to
  12. either the modem from Gateway or a Boca Research modem. Both are about
  13. $200. The Gateway has the advantage of being from Gateway - I have had
  14. very good luck with them. (I know about the first release of the modem -
  15. it had problems and was recalled. I recall reading that the newest version
  16. is good, though)  The Boca modem is from the same people who made my VGA
  17. card (1024x768x256, tseng 4000) and have not had any problems with it, nor
  18. has anyone in my office.

  20.    Does anyone have any comments on either of them? Reply or email is
