  17. Book clubs buy a limited number of books.  When they are gone, they are gone.
  18. Publishers treat book clubs are a necessary evil.  They like them because the
  19. clubs generate publicity for new books, but they dislike them because the 
  20. book clubs demand and get a large discount.  The MINIX book is still
  21. available from PH.  Any bookstore can order it from them.  The next edition
  22. is still a couple of years away.

  24. On the other hand, MINIX 1.6.24b (Second beta release) is only hours away.
