- I've seen a number of postings here in the last few days, including one
- from me, asking about getting LILO working to boot Linux from the hard
- disk. To date, I haven't gotten any responses, has anyone else? I'd
- really like to get this working, but I haven't been successful so far.
- To recap, my configuration is:
-
- 386DX-20, 8mb RAM, 80387, 1.2 & 1.44mb floppies, T4000 STB PowerGraph VGA,
- 100mb IDE drive totally dedicated to Linux. I have Linux running fine
- booting from floppy, I'd just like to get it running on the hard disk.
- I'm a newcomer to Unix, so even if the brief instructions for LILO that
- come with the SLS distribution are enough for most folks, they seem not
- to be sufficient for me. :-) I'd appreciate any help in getting this
- to boot from the HD, it can't be that difficult, can it?
