  12.     I am now ready to graduate from Minix to Linux to overcome many 
  13.     restrictions and limitations.

  15.     I have read the FAQ but still have the following questions --

  17.     Which is the best way to go having only a 9600 baud mnp5 modem with
  18.     ftp access.
  19.      
  20.     1/ I can obtain 0.98.pl5 SLS on disks and then upgrade via ftp.

  22.     2/ ftp 0.99.pl1 
  23.  
  24.      I have already ftp'd disks  a1 and a2 from tsx-11.mit.edu in
  25.      /pub/linux/SLS and used rawrite as per FAQ and a1 fails to boot
  26.      with Load coming up on screen the 4***** and no further disc activity.
  27.      a2 is recognised as a 1.2meg Minix filesystem but is empty.
  28.  
  29.      If 2/ is the best option where can I ftp 0.99.pl1 from as above a1 a2 
  30.      disks appear to be 0.98.pl6 according to History in directory.
  31.  
  32.      All help gratefully received as after a year with Minix Linux appears
  33.      to be the system I would like to have got originally.
