  20. that's how I have things set up for news/mail on the sites I run at work
  21. and it's WONDERFUL.  If you want to nuke a package, you delete the tree.

  25. That makes it a little cluttered, but it's simple to look at /usr/local/bin

  37. no they don't.  The only one I've ever found is Ultrix...and that one
  38. gets wierd if you have to 'hack' an install due to the inadequacies
  39. of their installation software.

  48. when o/s people start realizing that and taking advantage of things to
  49. reorganize the setups to reduce the REAL pain in system administration
  50. (ie...care and feeding of the mess you have once it's installed), it'll
  51. be a big gain.
