  14. Hi there everybody,

  16. Yesterday I've tried to install LINUX with the SLS Installation Kit.
  17. There were no problems encountered during the installation procedure,
  18. but trying to start X-Windows failed.
  19. The Screen switched to the graphical mode, for less than a second,
  20. switched back to teh textual mode and the following message appeared 
  21. on the screen:

  25. no SIOCGIFCONF

  27. .....

  29. none of the configured devices was detected.
  30.  
  31. Fatal server error
  32.  
  33. no screens found
  34.  
  35. giving up.

  39. In the Line with the configured devices appeared et3000, which is the card
  40. that is in my computer.

  43. I would be very pleased if anybody could help me solving this problem.
