  11.   I finally compiled the 0.99 kernel with no major problems, except when it
  12. boots, after reporting all the devices it has connected, it says
  13. kernel panic: cannot mount root
  14. or something like that. I have my root filesystem as /dev/hda2. It's a 30Mb
  15. minix partition. I fsck'ed it and it's ok. Also, I've had no other problems
  16. woth any other kernel version before this. Oh, and I did change the line at
  17. the beginning of the makefile for the root filesystem to be /dev/hda2. 
  18.   So... does anyone have any idea what the problem is?
