- Hi,
-
- HELP - How do I make bootable floppy?
-
- I have checked FAQ, install.txt, guide.txt, and the GCC distribution's
- README. I followed the instructions in the GCC rootdisk README, to no
- avail. Does anyone have clear, idiot-proof instructions on how to make
- ---------------------------------------------------------------
-
- a bootable floppy?
- -----------------
-
- I tried with LILO 0.7 as specified in README for GCC rootdisk, it dies
- with "init: exec rc failed". Yes I have /etc/rc on floppy. 777 type,
- even (chmod 777 /mnt/etc/rc). Two things look funny:
-
- 1) With other bootdisks I have seen (GCC & SLS), I don't see LILO message.
-
- 2) About 1/2 way through, I am prompted to "put in root disk and press ENTER"
-
-
- HELP!
