- I am getting ready to 'make' linux 99.1 kernel. Do I unpack linux-0.99.1.tar.Z
- in root or /usr/linux ? After I successfully compile (:)) what then
- does the makefile automatically update whatever has to be done or do I need
- to move some file around ? If so which files are they and where do they go.
- Do I need to create a new boot floppy or does it not matter? If I
- do need to create one how do I go about doing it?
-
- I do not have linux source allready on my filesystem.
-
- Also I would like to update my gcc-libs to 2.3.2 fron 2.2.2d. How do I go
- about doing this. Should I just create a new directory in the same place
- as 2.2.2d ?
-
- Help would be appreciated very much. Thanks folks
