  15. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP.  I finally got Linux installed (Tiny base
  16. system a), using the SLS distribution.  Now I can move on to b, and c.

  18. I never did figure out what was wrong, but using the bootimage-0.98 /
  19. rootimage-0.97 disk combo would boot ok, but for some reason it would
  20. NOT install using the install script.  After many tries, I have come 
  21. to the (unscientific) belief that there was something wrong with the 
  22. mount program I had because everytime it would mount the /dev/hda1 to
  23. mnt and begin the copy process, it would copy everything to /dev/fd0,
  24. and consequently I would get a No Space Left on Device error after the
  25. disk filled up.  I did notice an occasional "Could not umount /dev/fd0"
  26. error while running the script, but could never pin it down.

  28. Anyway, the SLS release seemed to fix all the problems.  Thanks a
