- Hello everyone,
-
- THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP. I finally got Linux installed (Tiny base
- system a), using the SLS distribution. Now I can move on to b, and c.
-
- I never did figure out what was wrong, but using the bootimage-0.98 /
- rootimage-0.97 disk combo would boot ok, but for some reason it would
- NOT install using the install script. After many tries, I have come
- to the (unscientific) belief that there was something wrong with the
- mount program I had because everytime it would mount the /dev/hda1 to
- mnt and begin the copy process, it would copy everything to /dev/fd0,
- and consequently I would get a No Space Left on Device error after the
- disk filled up. I did notice an occasional "Could not umount /dev/fd0"
- error while running the script, but could never pin it down.
-
- Anyway, the SLS release seemed to fix all the problems. Thanks a
- bunch to everyone that replied to my posting. Happy Holidays.
