- I obtained the nice DOS utility pfdisk from a linux site (tsx-11.mit.edu
- if I recall correctly), which is an fdisk-like program. Because it runs
- under MS-DOG it has access to the bios, and can read this information.
- Displaying the contents of the current partition table will also show
- the number of heads, cylinders, and sectors the SCSI-card has fooled the
- bios into believing it has. I then use these numbers with the linux
- fdisk command. This has worked very well with an Adaptec 1542b SCSI
- controller and two Maxtar hard drives (120M and 210M), and it should work
- with other controllers/drives as well.
