- Can't get 3 button mouse to work under X.
-
- I am using a microsoft 3 button mouse; when under X, the middle
- button is in-active. A week -or- two ago, someone posted a small
- few line program that did an ioctl on /dev/ttys0 (or what ever
- COM port your mouse is on). I don't have the post here with me at work.
- I inserted the program (as instructed by the post),the mouse pointer
- (as I moved the mouse) was stuck moving left and right at the top
- of the screen. The mouse pointer had a mind of it's own, just
- like my 3 year old :-}.
-
- Did anybody have similar problems? Or a different solution?
-
- I don't have my Xconfig in front of me, so I won't use
- the actual syntax. But, my mouse in the Xconfig was set to
- "microsoft /dev/ttys0", baud rate is set to 1200, and set
- to emulate a 3 button. (These are my settings before I
- tried the above mentioned post (sorry, can't remember your name)).
- I'm using a Trident 8900C.
