  10. Can't get 3 button mouse to work under X.

  12. I am using a microsoft 3 button mouse; when under X, the middle
  13. button is in-active. A week -or- two ago, someone posted a small
  14. few line program that did an ioctl on /dev/ttys0 (or what ever
  15. COM port your mouse is on). I don't have the post here with me at work.
  16. I inserted the program (as instructed by the post),the mouse pointer
  17. (as I moved the mouse) was stuck moving left and right at the top
  18. of the screen. The mouse  pointer had a mind of it's own, just
  19. like my 3 year old :-}.

  21. Did anybody have similar problems? Or a different solution?

  23. I don't have my Xconfig in front of me, so I won't use
  24. the actual syntax. But, my mouse in the Xconfig was set to
  25. "microsoft /dev/ttys0", baud rate is set to 1200, and set
  26. to emulate a 3 button. (These are my settings before I 
  27. tried the above mentioned post (sorry, can't remember your name)).
  28. I'm using a Trident 8900C.
