  10. I am new to the *nix/Coherent world. I am far from being conversent in 
  11. either unix or C. I have successfully installed Wnews, Elm  and got uucp 
  12. polling my host. But I seem lost getting Tin117 compiled and installed. 
  13. Even with the make script that enables you to select a Coherent 386 
  14. compile I don't understand the installation procedure from that point. I 
  15. checked the makefile to verify that my directories were correct and I 
  16. think all is right. I receive an exit code of 256 and the message 
  17. bin=tin linkit. If I need to link it at that point what command should I 
  18. use? Or what should I do from this point if not. In addition I am unsure 
  19. about some other defines. Should I list my polling site/smarthost with 
  20. the name of my feed site (I only feed from one site) in 
  21. NNTP_INEWS_GATEWAY or my own site name. I have my own domain name.

  23. Do I need Bison which I believe is a yacc substitute for the Coherent 
  24. native? Can I change the Makefile to the native yacc and if so what 
  25. switch should I use? If not where can I get Bison?

  27. I would greatly appreciate any help that I could get with this 
  28. installation. I am very frustrated.
