  14. I have been trying in vain to install the installable version of
  15. wnews on my Coherent machine.  I am not a seasones Unix user or even a C
  16. programmer, so I understand I may have some problems fiddling with this,
  17. but would appreciate any suggestions.

  19. Durring the install program, I get to the point of putting in the machine
  20. name and site for news feed -- all is going fine -- then the install
  21. shell attempts to unbatch the sample news programs and cannot do it right.
  22. Might I have an incorrect setup on compress() or something?  
  23.  
  24. Compress and uncompress seem to work ok on other programs , but I have no
  25. way to verify the operation with the newsreader.  Also, do I have to put
  26. /usr/spool/news into the Permissions file for the feeding site?  I did not
  27. see anything about this in the DOCS??
