- In a former life (several years back) at PRC, we were a beta site
- for Microsoft's SMTP gateway product. Someone (who shall remain nameless
- to protect family members) decided that the entire company should go
- appletalk on Mac's with microsoft mail as the mail system of choice.

- i was working on the commercial side of the house with a product line
- that had gone unix in '83. we laughed at this proposition, realizing
- that that which is not unix (for the most part) is DOS (purely number
- of units sold, no flames please). the MSMail products which were finally
- released were quite good, and mail translations between SMTP and MSMail
- were reasonable. they even used uuencode for binary inclusions.
