  17. I was using TI's microexplorer for a couple of projects before MCL2.0 was
  18. available.  Some rough benchmarks indicated that the microexplorer was 2-4
  19. times faster than MCL running on an fx (depending on what was being
  20. measured).  I think the explorer II is not radically faster than the
  21. microexplorer.  Given that the 950 is faster than the fx, I would seriously
  22. doubt that the performance enhancements you need would come from switching
  23. hardware.
