- I think that the software for SGI is out of the price range for most
- people interested in setting up home studios. I work with Softimage
- and Wavefront, both go for about $50,000. This is more than the system
- price. Softimage is an incredible program but a tad expensive. How
- about an Amiga 4000? I have heard that they have finally fixed that
- damn monitor flicker at 24 bits. Imagine is also supposed to be fairly
- nice. I have friends making broadcast (ie. Universe TV show) quality
- animations with it.
