  12. I just installed Emacs on my 386 PC. I am using the version that I found in
  13. the archive at oak.oakland.edu. This announces itself as Demacs version
  14. 1.2.0 (based upon emacs 18.55). Once I got the environment variables sorted
  15. out demacs works correctly even with 386MAX. However, after exiting demacs
  16. (with C-x C-c) any DOSKEY macros are lost as is the DOSKEY command recall
  17. function.

  19. Is there any way to fix this so that my DOSKEY macros are kept and my
  20. command recall will continue to work?
