- I think the instability comes not from memory problems, but disk
- problems. DEMACS swaps to disk and, under certain circumstances, can
- put quite a strain on the disk. Some controllers don't handle this
- well, and timing bugs that don't show up under DOS can come to the
- fore. Many people have reported problems to this effect. When I use
- DEMACS, every so often it dies, but ALWAYS WHEN THE HD IS ON THE SAME
- TRACK! (I know because my Dell machine tells me what track the drive
- is on.)
