- Actually, cell sites are often located at considerable distances from
- the MTSO and from landline facilities. This means that they often
- have dish antennas on the same tower that supports the UHF telephony
- antenna. Of course these dishes are for microwave links to the MTSO,
- and not for communication with nearby mobile units.
