  21. I don't think the PPI modem does CLID, but this new ZyXEL U-1496E+ I
  22. have does do CLID, as well as FAX and mediocre voice to boot. Don't
  23. forget its selectable Identa*Ring cadence detection which allows it to
  24. recognize any combination of four ringing patterns.

  26. They even have special firmware for those nasty GTD-5 and NT DMS100
  27. switches which have apparently not followed standard specs when
  28. implementing CLID timing parameters.

  30. The voice is suitable for not much more than the cheapy "press 1 for
  31. fax, 2 for data modem, 3 to leave a voice message" setup that seems so
  32. popular these days.

  34. I don't sell ZyXELs, but thought I'd throw in my $0.02 to aid in the
  35. discussion of such fancy modems.
