- What's the syntax for specifying that a router send a ping to a specific
- address using SNMP, or is this not possible?? I have a decidely old version
- of the cisco _private_ MIB vars, and it lists "ping" but doesn't give any
- other info. I'll be using a command line driven SNMP query generator and I
- need to feed it the ASN.1 description of the variable I want...
- From the MIB description I have it would be
- _iso_org_dod_internet_private_enterprises_cisco_local_lsystem_ping_<instanceid>
- I assume the instance ID would be simple "0", and that in setting the var I
- would "set" it to the ip address I wanted to ping. But that doesn't really
- make sense as the var type is INTEGER. If I use the ip address I want to
- ping as the instance identifier, what integer value do I send to set it??
-
- Is this feature even implemented, and in what sw version??
