- On the few local calls I have made to another ZyXEL (I have a 1496S) the
- beasts blasted along at 16800 with no problem.
- When I phone long distance (I'm in Saskatchewan,Canada) to the ZyXEL BBS, it
- usually starts at 12000 but has been as low as 7200 and then retrains up and
- down as the line conditions change. When I tried to force the ZyXEL to go no
- higher than 9600baud the ZyXEL BBS wouldn't handshake properly.
