  19. Duh, stupid me.  What I completely forgot to mention was that it connects to
  20. the other v.32bis's in question at 12.0kbps instead of 14.4.  12.0 is, of
  21. course, one of the valid fallback speeds.  It will not fall forward to 14.4,
  22. but it at least maintains the connection.

  24. (Early PPI 14.4's and some Supra 14.4's have a tendency to fall back from
  25. 14.4 to 12.0 early in a connection, and then lose the connection entirely.)
