- Dear netters:
-
- I bought Zoom v.32bis internal fax modem in Nov. The problem is with setting
- up com port for it. I have I/O card with 2 serial ports, 1 game port
- and 1 parallel port. I have only a mouse on com port 1. So I set up
- com port 4 for the modem, and it works perfectly at the first time.
- But after the first, it doesn't work at all. It says that the com port
- is unavailable. So I try to disable com port 1 and set up com port 3
- for the modem(move a mouse to com port 2). When I type AT, it gives me
- OK but when I dial to school system, it gives me no toneline error or
- something like that. In this morning, when I turned on my computer,
- now it gives me HD controller failure error(I have an ide controller,
- and it didn't give me any probelm before installing the modem).
-
- Could you please help me out here?
-
- Thanks in advance.
