- I have just bought a Dynalink 2400P modem
-
- My friend bought one at the same time, his works fine, mine is being a %&&&^%
-
- There were several differences and we are not sure whether there is a
- configuration problem, a hardware problem, or both.
-
- First the CD light on mine does not light up till it makes a connection (whilst
- my friends comes on even when disconnected)
-
- Then:
-
- When we send the command AT&V the first line on my friends reads
-
- ACTIVE PROFILE:
- B0 E1 L2 M1 Q0 V1 X4 Y0 &C0 &D0 &G0 &J0 &L0 &P0 ...
-
- while mine reads
-
- ACTIVE PROFILE:
- B0 E1 L2 M1 Q0 V1 X4 Y0 &C0 &D0 &G0 &J0 &L0 &Q0 ...
- ^^^
-
- its the &C0... that we seem not to be able to configure.
-
- Finally the modem dials the phone the other end rings twice then it aborts with
- BUSY. This was only solved by disabling the results codes.
-
- Can anyone suggest what I do next?
-
- mail to pdenize@waikato.ac.nz
-
- Thanks in advance
