  18. If your terminal really only supports even parity (the E in 7E1), then
  19. it sounds like you are out of luck.  But if it can be set to space
  20. parity, it should work.  Space parity with 7 data bits looks the same
  21. on the line as 8 data bits with no parity for 7 bit characters.
