- Use Class 1 fax-software. The Scout+ comes with DosFax and WinFax Lite.
- There is no chance with datacomm software.

- Handshaking is done after CCITT recommendataion T.30, transmission and
- coding after T.4, which does compression with 1-dim run length coding
- (modified huffman, MH) better with 2-dim compression. Error control
- and/or correction is optional.
