  24. Use Class 1 fax-software. The Scout+ comes with DosFax and WinFax Lite. 
  25. There is no chance with datacomm software.

  30. 300 bd with V.21 channel 2 for handshake, V.29 (9600+7200bps) and 
  31. V.27ter (4800+2400 bps), newest V.17 (14400+12000 bps). These are 
  32. unidirectional modulations.

  43. Handshaking is done after CCITT recommendataion T.30, transmission and 
  44. coding after T.4, which does compression with 1-dim run length coding 
  45. (modified huffman, MH) better with 2-dim compression. Error control 
  46. and/or correction is optional.
