  13. are the ones I use) talk a uniform language (SQL) while operating on data
  14. supplied by many different engines/servers (xBase, Btrieve and Paradox
  15. on the PC; Oracle, Sybase/SqlServer, Ingres and DB2 remotely). It works,
  16. it's rather efficient at it, and it makes life easier all 'round.
