-
- wrong. the mailserver is up and chugging away. Somebody just grabbed Helldiver
- via mail yesterday.

- Pat, I checked the logfiles and you don't show up ever requesting any files
- at the address in your posting during December. I might add that if anybody
- has problems getting mail-server requests, that you can mail to me here
- and I'll look into it for you.
-
- Since this kind of thing comes up periodically, I save EVERY request mail
- message so I can track things down. I also have all the logfile entries
- since we turned on the mail server in early October...
-
-
- The one thing people have to realize is that we (Ralph and his files area
- gnome, me...) don't control the mail setup between here and remote sites, nor
- do we control the headers on your mail messages...meaning that if you send mail
- to the server with unreplyable headers, you won't get a response because it'll
- bounce somewhere in between. Typically, you can see this kind of thing if people
- route their mail through Internet sites if the sender uses un-domainized headers
- (the effect is that a bogus domain frequently gets added by the intermediate
- internet site....making the mail unreplyable).
-
- actually, I don't even want to SEE bounces, so I have the mailserver set to
- quietly delete all fileserver jobs that bounce back here due to problems on
- the sender systems.
-
- But now that that's settled...helldiver is in waffle/news/helld107.zip
- on halcyon.com
