- This badly chosen word is the basis of the whole mixup. I didn't
- mean that the goodbye screen would not be displayed at all, but that
- it would not linger and would not wash away the flow of the users
- commands if properly handled.

- That is up to the users to decide. If they find such a system
- useful in a situation like this, then so far so good. If they don't
- find it useful, then the users just won't use it, and again so good
- so far.
- The discrepancy here is that by "the job" we meant and mean
- different things. I speak of a solution to decrese the annoyance
- factor caused by something that will stay on the screen if no
- measures are taken. You mean much more strictly supressing the
- goodbye screen altogether (eg by pacthing the call to it within the
- Telix code). Taken your way you are, of course, absolutely right.
- Pushscr and popscr will not achieve such effects.
- But let's not forget that in the long run the only acceptable
- method of removing the said screen is registering.
- To sum up. It is obviously my writing, our assumed different
- goals, and my non-native English that are at fault, but not my
- understanding (not this time!).
-
- No big deal. The important part was to exchange information, which
- the users may then utilize if they find it relevant. I think this
- about covers our exchange of views.
-
- >Happy New Year.
-
- Thank you. Likewise! And see you.
-
- All the best, Timo
