- As a Civil Engineer (10 years ago :-) and computer professional now,
- here's my two bits.
-
- Use Paper and Pencil.
-
- I've tried to use various cad, cad wannabes, and easy-to-use home design
- packages in designing my future home and they all stink in various
- degrees.
-
- Unless,
-
- You are a CAD professional and know how to work CAD. A fellow here at work
- used AutoCAD to design his home in multi-layer drawings. Took a while,
- but he was successful.
-
- The only package that I have used more or less successfully is Autosketch.
- It can do quite a few things but is not as intimidating as full blown CAD
- systems.
