  14. Document Archive are now available via the anonymous ftp service of the
  15. Canadian Microelectronics Corporation. Note that some access
  16. restrictions apply.

  20. Equipment Loan Application Documents
  21. ------------------------------------

  23. The following summarizes the documents available in CMC's Equipment
  24. Loan Document Archive. The archive is available by anonymous ftp as
  25. follows:

  39. Notes:
  40.     - you must be accessing the archive from a member university or
  41.       you will not be permitted into to the data sub-directory. 
  42.     - the account command is necessary for our accounting purposes
  43.     - many of the files are in binary format (for them, at least,
  44.       binary mode is required).
  45.     
  46. The documents are archived in the "data" sub-directory by their
  47. respective attachment numbers to the equipment loan application. The
  48. following modifiers are used to form the actual file names:
  49.  
  50.     _en    an english version
  51.     _fr    a french version
  52.     .w51    Wordperfect 5.1 format
  53.     .ps    Adobe Postscript format for an Apple LaserWriter I
  54.         (should print on all postscript printers)
  55.         To print a file you type:
  56.             % lpr a01_en.ps
  57.     .sc    "spreadsheet calculator" format.  (sc is a spreadsheet
  58.         calculator for Unix by James Gosling et al)
  59.     .wk3    Lotus V3 spreadsheet format
  60.     .Z    the file is in compressed format. On a Unix system
  61.         you uncompress it as follows:
  62.             % uncompress file.Z
  63.         You will be left with "file" in uncompressed format. 
  64.             eg.
  65.             % uncompress options_fr.ps.Z
  66.             produces the file:
  67.             options_fr.ps
  68.
