- Stay away from small insurance companies; there are multiple
- reasons including offshore operation, cancellation for trivial
- reasons, etc. Go with a major company; I use Allstate. Their
- rates are reasonable if you have a safe driving record. Their
- agent will tell you the minimum you need. My son who is 19
- has a 1984 Ford Escort, and his insurance premium for liability
- is about $740 per year. However, this includes multiple car
- discount and renewal discount, which he gets by using my policy.
- I have no connection with Allstate other than satisfied policy
- holder.
