- The problem you are having is not at all uncommon.....Windows itself
- is what is actually sending you these messages. The problem is a
- harware problem. There are a great many possibilities that could be
- causing the messages to occur.
-
- I can give you a few suggestions:
-
- 1. Heat problem: if the temperature of any componant gets high
- Windows will start reporting parity errors.
- This could be happening to any component on your
- system board, including your new memory, or any
- componant. This is extremely possible if you
- have a great many componants in your computer and
- your fan is not able to properly cool the system.
-
- 2. Power Supply: Power supplies are a very common problem in these
- kinds of errors.
-
- 3. Power Surges or Brownouts: Any fluctuation in power going to the
- machine can produce these type of errors.
-
- 4. Memory: There could also be a problem with your new memory. Yoy
- can get software that will let you run memory tests
- for long periods of time to ensure that your memory
- working properly. Windows is very sensitive to any
- problems. So it may be detecting things that your
- other software can't.
-
- These are just a couple of suggestions, There are many, many other
- things to check if these don't do the trick.
