- I'll put in a word for the HP (35480a) 8 gig tape drive. It uses 4mm DAT
- tapes and uses compression to achieve the 8gigs. So realistically you'll
- get anywhere from 3-6 gigs of storage per tape IMHO. The cost is around
- $1700 for this drive. We use it with ARCserve 4.0 NLM and find it to be an
- excellent solution for our backup needs.
-
- Our source for the drive was Cranel Inc, 800-288-3475. This company was
- extremely helpful when we encountered any problems. So I would
- highly recommend them to anyone.
