  24. This is generally caused by an interrupt or i/o conflict...for example, if
  25. you're running an NE2000 network card at I/O base 360h, this will actually
  26. overwrite LPT1 which is often at 378h.

  28. Aside from that possibility...what about IRQ conflicts between the IRQ that
  29. your printer port is using and your network adapter?  (LPT1=IRQ7,
  30. LPT2=IRQ5, COM1=IRQ4, COM2=IRQ3)
