  12. Any study of the costs of searching Medline that currently exists in print
  13. is going to be obsolete in 1993, since the costs of searching MEDLARS go
  14. down dramatically as the year begins.

  16. Having said that, however, I offer below a citation to the most
  17. comprehensive study of this kind that I know.  It was done here at
  18. McMaster University in 1985; it is out-of-date now, but its data were
  19. unchallenged from 1985 through 1992.
