  17. I'm certainly interested, Eric, in some kind of WIOLE project.  The
  18. "burning question" here seems to be whether all this writing students are
  19. doing--in class journals or outside of them for "fun"--makes any difference
  20. (I'm not sure in what---their grades, persistence, learning??)
  21.  
  22. I am interested in both a grant proposal and in developing a research
  23. program for electronic communication.  We have conferencing (and easy
  24. quantitative data retrieval) from 10 campuses (about 4000+ students each
  25. semester).  So where do we go from here??
