- You are invited to participate in the new online EENETS forum.
-
- EENETS is an Internet mailing list that is also being run as a conference
- internationally on the Association for Progressive Communications networks.
- Its main purpose is to provide a forum for people interested in the
- development and operation of electronic networks in environmental education
- settings.
-
- The creation of the list was suggested at the Eco-Ed conference in
- Toronto in October of 1992. At this conference it became clear that
- there were many network-based projects running or being planned. This
- mail list is an attempt to help coordinate information about these
- projects and the networks on which they are running so we can learn from
- the experiences of others.
-
- To subscribe to the Internet mail list, send an electronic message to:
- EENETS-request@UM.CC.UMICH.EDU
- Subject: [BLANK]
- Text: Just state that you want to be added to the EENETS mail list.
- Please also include your full name - NOT your electronic mail
- address.
-
- To be deleted:
- EENETS-request@UM.CC.UMICH.EDU
- Subject: [BLANK]
- Text: UNSUBSCRIBE EENETS
-
- All problems, questions, etc., should be sent to
- EENETS-request@UM.CC.UMICH.EDU
-
- If you wish to participate in this list as a member of a conference on
- one of the APC networks, do NOT subscribe to the Internet list, but
- rather use the conference named <list.eenets> on your host system.
- Messages posted in the conference are distributed to the Internet
- mail-list, and vice-versa.
-
- An initial activity suggested was to generate as comprehensive of a list
- as possible of existing or planned network-based EE projects. To that
- end, we ask all new members to send in descriptions of any of these
- projects of which they are aware. The short descriptions should be in
- the rough form of:
-
- Project Name:
- Short Description:
- Network/Systems on which it is run:
- Availability: Who is it open to? Grades? Locations? Equipment? Costs?
- Contact Name:
- Comments:
-
- These descriptions should not only be of strictly human to human
- communications, but also of other resources and services available via
- this medium that may be of interest to environmental educators.
- This list will be maintained by the "National Clearinghouse for
- Environmental Education and Training" (NCEET) project at the University
- of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and the Environment. This
- document will be updated to indicate how to obtain a copy of these
- descriptions once a collection has been initiated.

- Coordinator: Clancy Wolf cwolf@UMICH.EDU

- If you know of other individuals or organizations who should be invited to
- participate, please forward this invitation, or send their e-mail addresses
