  17. I guess Bill Powers' recent post suggests we need each other
  18. regardless of what we're doing.  I guess it is this recognition and
  19. respect for what each person does that is the strength of our CSG.
  20. Recently, I've received news which I wish to share with you.
  21.  
  22. The NASPA (National Systems Programmers Association) News ran a
  23. review of my book, Freedom From Stress.  Have had some sales as a
  24. result.  The reason was a local (Phoenix) programmer, Jim "JD"
  25. Drechsler, with American Express who has been promoting PCT and has
  26. gotten a lot of his peers excited about the ideas.  He has spoken
  27. at several of their conferences and was recently elected to their
  28. national board.

  30. The second is with regards to my TV program produced earlier this
  31. year by the local PBS station, KAET-TV.  They've aired it three
  32. times and plan another airing in March.  The first half of the
  33. program is dedicated (a lot) to explaining PCT.  I just learned
  34. from the station's program manager that he presented my program for
  35. possible use by other stations at the annual conference of PBS
  36. stations in November.  Apparently, 32 PBS-TV stations throughout
  37. the country expressed a desire for copies of the program to show in
  38. their own areas, which included Boston, Washington(CD), and Dallas,
  39. three of the nine largest viewing areas for PBS.  Others areas
  40. include Denver, Atlanta, Indianapolis, plus San Jose, San Mateo and
  41. Huntington Beech in California, and Tallahassee and Daytona Beech
  42. in Florida, and so forth.  March would probably be the next time
  43. stations have their promotions and would use this show, which is
  44. designed for such use.
